I am back in Bangkok from Rayong. Then I get stunned by Thailand: 9 Days in the Kingdom exhibition at Zen Gallery, Central World which runs until 25 November.
55 photographers from all over the world including David Alan Harvey, James Nacthway, Nat Sumanatemeya are assigned to get images throughout Thailand in 9 days. These great materials are presented in prints and multimedia.
It is one of the best photographic exhibition I have ever seen.
This trip was the first time I visited Thailand since I moved to Sydney in 2001. That was a very long time for an ex-pat to return to homeland.
One the other hand, my perspective changed around the medium at the time—photography. And I also started to use it as video projects.
Bangkok, I still love this fucking city.

Is that how they are displayed (in your photo above)? It looks scrappy and thoughtless. You’d need a ladder to see most of them! Aren’t there any descriptions of each photo (the photographer, topic/location, camera/exposure used, etc)? Oh no … looks like another poor show despite the great potential. Shame … TIT

Orawan,
There are label on each photograph except in this section which is more like the out takes. I particularly like this section because it gives the feel as a whole. I still recommend to have look.

I’ve seen it. Great communication, poor photography.
How much did they pay the mercenaries who shot that?

Jenna,
I am not sure you mean all the photography is poor or particular ones. Because it’s a huge collection, photo editing is a big task. I have no idea how much they pay for the photographers but I believe the main income of the organiser is the book sale.
