Afternoon Snack

Afternoon Snack

Weed vines grow wildly in the back balcony. Mantis nymph catches an aphid as prey beneath a leaf. It was exciting to see the action although I did not have the camera with me at the moment. The translucent body, that shows the inside moving up and down while eating its victim, is amazing.

Sweat

The same wet morning as Veiled and Laced, raindrops on a canna lily leaf creates green pattern and texture. What a lovely morning!

Laced

One wet morning torn garden orb-weaver’s (Eriophora transmarina) web and raindrop beads create random silver lines and dots. I would be happy if it inspired some Jewelry Designers.

Veiled

Garden orb-weaver(Eriophora transmarina)‘s web catches rain drops in one wet morning. Few weeks after the second hottest January in records, we have been having rain to cool down a bit in Sydney.

First Light

Each dawn has its own unique dramatic sequence. I feel blessed every time when morning ray shines on my face. This one is at Trinity Beach 20 km north from Cairns, Queensland.
The first post of 2006 has to be sunrise.
