Fallen PPE, September

September, week 30 since we started working from home in March, saw some slight decrease of COVID-19 daily new cases in Washington DC to an average of 43, down from 59 in July and August, according to the official data. Journeys of these masks and gloves are–just like ours–in the inevitable transition. We are all going through it.

The month was mentally challenging for me. My father’s illness raised questions about where I would be in the next few months, Bangkok or DC. I explored options to go back to Thailand but eventually decided to stay put until, at least, the election. I’d like to be here when things unfold. Hopefully, we’ll get there soon.
