Chinese gazebo ceiling in Chinatown. The gazebo doesn’t look grand itself. I consider Chinatown in Sydney is quite small compares to other big cities. However, there are lots of yummy food, though.

There should be an exhibition made on the chinatowns around the world. The chinatowns i’ve seen seem to have a life of their own, an amazing energy and the right touch of kitsch/cliché (i recommend strongly the dramatic light installation at the entrance of the yum(my) cha place ‘East Ocean’). Chinatowns embrace the future while being haunted by ghosts 🙂 and yep, agreed, GREAT food, and rude waiters too, love it 🙂
